I’m showing hippo(s) in the Brunswick Street Gallery – Works on Paper 2010 prize which opened last night and was awarded one of the acquisitional prizes which was great.
I’ve done other works featuring the Collex hippo before, this one has a total of 9 hippos; the 6 stickers, each bin & the singular Hippo (abstracted – ears=lids, nose=wheels, mouth=drain)
This work sold at my last show
Hippo(s) will be exhibited in the 2010 Works on Paper prize at Brunswick Street Gallery. I ended up winning an acquisitive award for this work so I think it’s part of the gallery collection.
Hippo(s) is one of a planned series of works. I have also completed another work Warrior(s) at the same size and started a 3rd called Mustacio(s).
